Birdwaves Media Animation: The Kim Loo Sisters project
Step 3 > Getting in Motion
After the artwork is 'inked' and colored in Photoshop, I set up a new project in Apple Motion. I usually do modest animations in Final Cut Pro directly, but if I really want to get creative with it, I go for Motion.

Above is the Apple Motion interface. Once again, I go crazy with the layers.
This animation is a simple one, invloving animating the lights bordering the stage. I also created a curtain that opens in the beginning. If there were more time, I was thinking about zooming in and panning across the players. Maybe next time...
If sound FX are needed, I'll add them in the motion project as well. Then I'll export and bring into Final Cut for more editing and tweaking.
Well that's it for my short synopsis of my animation process. I condensed and skipped quite a bit, but I wanted to at least give the general idea.
Thanks for stopping by!
